This tricky layout bridged the kitchen to the living room.  A custom sky vault with copper ceiling allows for light throughout the day without the dreaded heat generated with a skylight. This was perhaps the first kitchen ever (1996) to remove the outlet from the back splash.  Today Euro Fe has moulds the outlets and micro switches into the cabinets.
